Soli Deo Gloria! – “To God alone be the glory”

His praise rings out weekly in the 3 musically- blended corporate worship services of one thousand attendees that meet on weekends in our attractive and welcoming auditorium. The state-of-the-art sound, lighting, video and technical upgrades enhance every aspect of our worship together.   Three full and rotating worship teams lead with various musical styles and great excellence, with high commitment and obedient hearts.  The 2 worship leaders (paid staff), 20 vocalists and 14 musicians are all being discipled and are committed to a weekly small group or mentor.  Team members are all being encouraged to be actively involved in mission outreach, either locally, overseas or both.  Various teams and/or team members are regularly involved in community outreach, singing/playing in other churchs, nursing homes, coffeehouses, and short-term mission experiences.

An oft-heard response to a weekly service is “The flow of music and preaching draws me to God in such a meaningful way.  Today I was moved to tears…”.    The goal of continuing to educate our church family on the nature of true worship is happening through intentional preaching, articles in various church publications and on the website, specific training of all worship team members, and modeling worship as a lifestyle on and off the stage.

In addition, our adult and youth handbell choirs (30 participants and 2 leaders), provide periodic offerings, and our 60-voice choir works to offer seasonal attraction events that impact our community, and aid in drawing people into our fellowship.   The worship teams also provide Sunday evening praise and worship concerts twice a month, to offer an opportunity for expanded and more informal musical worship.  One attendee commented, “Not only do I get to sing my heart out, but hearing people’s testimonies really inspires me.”

Technically, we have songwriters who are recording, an inspired tech team working effectively with video clips and cable access in our services, and a continually updated website with streaming videos, articles, upcoming events, and staff and team bios.

Our drama team involves 2 strong volunteer leaders who are writing and overseeing sketches and longer drama programs for various special services and attraction events.  These leaders are recruiting, training and discipling both youth and adults for well-planned and impactful drama pieces (12 to 15 committed and regular participants).

Knowing our youth are the future church, we disciple them in musical worship on all grade levels.  Our younger children through grade 6 are trained and led in weekly musical worship by trained children’s leaders (3);  Week-long musical camps are held annually; these thematic Bible story musicals highlight singing, acting and stagecraft. After one of these events, several youngsters were heard to exclaim, “I loved this week…. why can’t we do it again next week?”

Two strong youth worship bands (2 leaders, 15 youth) are helping lead the junior and senior youth events on a regular basis.

Vision-casting and plans for a school for creative arts is well under way, with the hope of implementing course offerings in private music lessons (vocal and instrumental), music theory and vocal coaching, acting workshops and stagecraft, and technical arts training.  We are also exploring ways of training and impacting worship in other local churches, through workshops and seminars held on our campus.

Every activity and ministry team is structured to provide welcome, attraction and value to people in various ages and stages of their spiritual journey.
