FCCO YOUTH MINISTRY 2010

FCCO Youth Ministry puts great value on students and their families. We have crafted an environment where Jesus is exposed, received, and worshiped. Deep friendships have and are being made that last a life time. Not only are questions answered but solutions are forged that enable life change. Intentional Prayer, Outreach, and Worship, (POW); enables students to grow, friends to be invited with impact in homes, schools, towns, and the world!

Our 40 excellent Adult Leaders, 4 Life Bridge Staff and 40 Mentors, led by a full time pastor of youth ministry development, have specific responsibilities in the five spheres of ministry:

These five areas expose students to the value of being a disciple in Jesus and provide a place where they can bring their un-saved friends. These environments are places where adult leaders meet and develop relationships, encouragement, accountability, and discipleship.

Sunday Morning, is a high impact, exciting, powerful, inviting, culturally relevant meeting with great music, and awesome teaching to challenge and lead students through a weekly adventure with Jesus. We are seeing more than 90 students involved as leaders and participants. Over 20 students have come to faith this year!

Wednesday Night – Jr. and Sr. High – This evening begins with dinner at 6:00 PM with families and friends. At 6:30 PM, (5) Jr. High and (5) Sr. High small groups meet called, “SAFE and TRUSTED FRIENDSHIPS.” The 90 Students are able to grow deeper in their faith, by sharing intimate thoughts and questions, under the direction of an adult leader. Each group is crafted to the spiritual maturity level of each student. The value of the one and the one-for-the-all is experienced and modeled. We follow our small group activity with large group, Jr. High and Sr. High explosive fun and food!

Retreats Camps – 2 Annual Weekend Retreats, 1 Week long camp: 100 plus students experience an awesome time of activity along with great talks and small group interaction. The purpose is to expose un-saved friends to the gospel and challenge the Christian students to a deeper level of faith. Over 30 students received Christ this year.

Service projects – Four mission projects build bridges and roads to walk on as the value of others is experienced. Our excellent 15 staff invites 50 students into the process where students begin and continue to grow.

Life Bridge Inc. - Adult Mentor Matching – A partnership with Life Bridge Inc. reaching every un-saved student in the Lakes Region.

“My name is Bob and I am alumni of FCCO Youth Ministry. I just attended Sunday Morning, in the chapel last Sunday where I received Jesus as my Savior five years ago. I was amazed to see over 90 students with whom I shared how Jesus impacted me and the relationships that were formed carried with me into my adult life.”

Our 84 staff meets every week to deepen our relationship with Jesus and receive youth ministry training. Together we partner with parents to come along side in any way we can serve them with their students through counsel, parent seminars, and discussion groups.  FCCO Youth ministry is the exciting place to be in the Lakes Region.
