Next Message: Who Is Like the Lord?
Dan Mitchum - April 21, 2024
We start a new sermon series in which we’ll study the Old Testament book of Micah. Micah was a prophet. The Lord handpicked Micah to deliver an urgent message to God’s people. Because they had rebelled and been unfaithful to Him, the Lord warned that He was about to come down from Heaven and judge them for their heinous sins. But praise the Lord; He is slow to anger and abounds in love. Through Micah, God gives His people yet another chance to repent and return to Him. Micah isn’t an easy book—the warnings and judgments are severe—but it’s also a book filled with grace and mercy, and in it, we see God’s great love for us. Join us as we launch this new study.

God's Last Word
We’re launching a new sermon series on the New Testament letter to the Hebrews. The overall message of Hebrews is JESUS IS GREATER. Greater than what? Jesus is greater than everything! The early Christians needed to be reminded of the supremacy of Christ over all people and things. You might wonder how they lost sight of such a fundamental fact about the Savior. The answer is persecution. They were beginning to experience affliction for following Jesus. As a result, many were drifting from the faith. But through the Book of Hebrews, God urged them to persevere because Jesus is greater than any trouble that could come their way. We need this message today because we too can forget that Jesus is greater than anything or anyone. Jesus is greater than the war in Ukraine. He’s greater than our anxieties, addictions, and insecurities. He’s greater than the stock market. He’s greater than our greatest fears. And because He is greater we have every reason to keep following Him. Join us as we open up the Book of Hebrews.
