Next Message: Worthy of the Gospel

Marc Swenson - October 1, 2023

Have you ever seen a hunter using a squirt gun to get a deer, or a hairdresser trying to cut hair with salad tongs, or a football player running down the field in flipflops?” There are some things that simply don’t work. In the same way, Christian faith doesn’t make sense to the outside world when it’s not backed up by the way we live. Join us Sunday as we learn how to “conduct ourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel.” As we do, we’ll find great joy!

Seasons of Confession and Cleansing

Hidden secrets erode the soul, while freedom is found in the soil of confession. This is not only true in Christian circles. Over the last few years, online confessions have been trending up as people from all walks of life choose to air their dirty laundry in a world of anonymity. Though confession offers freedom, only the gospel of Jesus Christ brings cleansing. This is what David found after his sin with Bathsheba and what we so desperately long for in our lives. Join us Sunday as we study Psalm 51 and find that through both confession and cleansing, true joy floods the soul.

Scripture References: Psalms 51:1-19
