During times of trials and suffering? Actually, no. We are often most tempted to forget God when life is going well — when our needs are met, and we are enjoying a season of abundance.Just before Israel entered the Promised Land, God warned them of the danger when dreams come true. They might look at their blessings and think, “I did this. I earned this. I made this happen.” They could easily forget how God provided it all.We need that same reminder today. When life is difficult, we run to God for help. But when life is good, we can begin to live as though we do not need Him.Everything we have comes from God. Every blessing, every opportunity, every resource, every breath is a gift from His hand. We do not own it all — we have simply been entrusted with it. The truth is, all we have is His.
