Next Message: Living in God's Rest
Marc Swenson - May 5, 2024
We’ve all heard of the proverbial Frog in the Kettle. Israel was in this situation. The heat was getting turned up. Through the prophet Micah, they were given warning after warning to repent, change their ways, turn their hearts back to God, and get out of the pot before it was too late. This week we’ll learn what made them so comfortable, and we’ll consider the warming waters around our own lives and how God might have us respond. Join us for a powerful morning of worship, prayer, and the sharing of God’s word! We’ll see you Sunday.

Jesus, Our Brother
We call Jesus ‘Lord’ because He is greater than us. We call Him ‘Savior’ because He is our redeemer. But what does Jesus call us? Amazingly, He calls us ‘brothers’ and ‘sisters’ [Hebrews 2:11-12]. We are Jesus’ siblings because, in becoming flesh and blood, He identifies with us in every way. Join us as we see Jesus as the great big brother who accepts us, protects us, sacrifices for us, and is never ashamed of us!
Scripture References: Hebrews 2:9-18, Hebrews 3:1-6
From Series: "Hebrews: JESUS IS GREATER"
The overall message of Hebrews is JESUS IS GREATER. Greater than what? Jesus is greater than everything! The early Christians needed to be reminded of the supremacy of Christ over all people and things.
