Answering the Call
What moves you? Throughout history, people have done great things because their hearts were disturbed by situations or conditions around them. Harriet Tubman led hundreds of slaves to freedom as a conductor of the Underground Railroad. Lord Shaftesbury of England worked tirelessly to reform laws for factory workers who were working brutally long days, even as children. Jim Elliot gave his life as a martyr to bring the gospel to The Auca Indians of Ecuador. These people were moved and so they acted. What moves you? This Sunday, the story of Nehemiah will encourage us to consider how we might answer the call of God, by considering the things that disturb our hearts. We’ll celebrate those already using the gifts God has given them and give an opportunity for those not yet involved to step into action through our Ministry Fair. We can’t wait to celebrate and worship with you!
Scripture References: Nehemiah 1:1-11
