Next Message: Living in God's Rest

Marc Swenson - May 5, 2024

We’ve all heard of the proverbial Frog in the Kettle. Israel was in this situation. The heat was getting turned up. Through the prophet Micah, they were given warning after warning to repent, change their ways, turn their hearts back to God, and get out of the pot before it was too late. This week we’ll learn what made them so comfortable, and we’ll consider the warming waters around our own lives and how God might have us respond. Join us for a powerful morning of worship, prayer, and the sharing of God’s word! We’ll see you Sunday.

The Masterpiece of God in Christ

Everyone loves a good action movie. But in the middle, we find ourselves asking how in the world will this resolve? How will they rescue that person? How will they get out of this impossible situation? It’s not until you get to the end of the movie that you understand how all of the confusing details in the middle fit together. We won’t be watching any movies tomorrow, but as we continue in our study of Hebrews, we’ll find that the fullness of the gospel story can only be understood by starting with Christ and looking backward. Join us as we deepen our understanding of the gospel and grow in our appreciation of God’s master plan and its implications for our lives.

Scripture References: Hebrews 10:1-18

From Series: "Hebrews: JESUS IS GREATER"

The overall message of Hebrews is JESUS IS GREATER. Greater than what? Jesus is greater than everything! The early Christians needed to be reminded of the supremacy of Christ over all people and things.
