The Burning Question for 2024
While there were many blessings in 2023, so much of our attention focused on the chaos and conflict here at home and around the world. Israel and Hamas are at war, China and Russia continue to pose serious threats to the U.S., and there is unrest in many countries. Here at home, there’s a growing disregard for the rule of law, the sanctity of human life, and God’s design for sexuality. All of this and more leads us to the burning question for 2024: “When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?” That’s the question David asked in Psalm 11. That’s the question God’s Word will answer for us tomorrow morning. Psalm 11 helps us enter 2024 with a renewed sense of hope and faith in God’s sovereignty over everything under the sun.
Scripture References: Psalms 11:1-7
