Next Message: Motherhood Matters

Dan Mitchum - May 12, 2024

Moms don’t want to sleep like babies—they want to sleep like dads! That statement is funny because it’s all too true. Mothers go way above and beyond to care for their children. They selflessly put the needs of their family before their own. But who cares for moms? Who lifts them and encourages them? Yes, children and husbands are to appreciate her, but the Lord is the first to affirm and bless mothers. Tomorrow, we’ll see how much God delights in the sacrificial love moms pour upon their children.

Grow Up!

A reality TV show featured a man who proudly lives his life as an “adult baby.” At age 30, he sleeps in a crib and eats his dinner from a personalized high chair while wearing a baby bib and pajamas. He said he first got the urge to act like a baby at age 14 when he bought himself a pacifier and a baby bottle. Everyone would agree there’s something very wrong with an adult choosing to live like an infant. But what about Christians, who, instead of maturing in their faith, decide to keep living as spiritual infants? Hebrews will call out those stuck in spiritual infancy. He’ll tell them to grow up! Truth be told, we all have some growing up to do in our faith. Join us tomorrow for a challenging yet encouraging study of Hebrews.

Scripture References: Hebrews 5:11-14, Hebrews 6:1-12

From Series: "Hebrews: JESUS IS GREATER"

The overall message of Hebrews is JESUS IS GREATER. Greater than what? Jesus is greater than everything! The early Christians needed to be reminded of the supremacy of Christ over all people and things.
