Sermon: “Children of the Light” from Craig Boronow

Wouldn’t you like to know what the future holds? All of us wonder: Will the economy keep my investments afloat? Will my kids grow up healthy and stable? Will I keep my job until retirement? Will my candidate win the next election? Oh, to be able to pull back the curtain of time and peek into the mysteries of tomorrow! When it comes to questions like these, God doesn’t reveal the answers in advance. Instead of knowing the future, we’re to entrust our lives to the Father’s sovereignty. But God has revealed to us the greatest event still to come, namely, Jesus’ return. No, He hasn’t given us the date and time, but we can be certain He’s on HIs way. Until then, we’re to prepare ourselves by living as children of the light. Our guest preacher this week is Craig Boronow. Craig is a gifted teacher who ministered at FCCO for many years. Craig and Michelle moved away a while ago, but they’ll be back with us today!
