Sermon: “Reaching Out” from Marc Swenson

Marc Swenson - March 16, 2025

Reaching Out

For a long time we’ve heard disturbing statistics about the growing number of people walking away from God and the church. But it seems the tide is beginning to shift. There is a spiritual openness emerging that hasn’t been seen for decades. Today, we’ll look at the story of Philip in the book of Acts. He’ll teach us that sharing the gospel isn’t as hard as it may seem, especially when the Holy Spirit is involved. Join us as we discover how to reach out with the love of Christ wherever we live, work, and play!

Scripture References: Acts 8:4-8, Acts 8:26-40

From Series: "Values"

At FCCO, we’re committed to seven core values. Values describe who we are and who we want to be. They are deeply held beliefs that guide our decisions and life together. They are: Glorifying Jesus, praying dependently, living biblically, growing together, healing brokenness, reaching out, and serving generously. We’ll spend five Sundays unpacking these values.
