Sermon: “The Choice of Christmas” from Marc Swenson

Marc Swenson - December 24, 2025

The Choice of Christmas

Christmas is here, and we would love to celebrate Christmas Eve with you tomorrow at 2:00, 3:30, or 5:00pm. This is a space to pause, breathe deeply, and reflect on the beautiful miracle of God coming to dwell among us. As we revisit the Christmas story, we’ll be reminded of the faithful choices made and the hope they opened for all of us—hope that leads us from darkness to light, death to life, bondage to freedom, and brokenness to reconciliation. Through carols, a dramatic presentation, the lighting of the Advent candle, and the Word of God, we’ll be drawn back to the true meaning of Christmas. Invite a friend and join us as we joyfully celebrate the birth of our newborn King.

His disciples came to him, and he began to teach them saying...” [Matthew 5:1-2] What follows is the greatest sermon ever preached by the greatest preacher who ever lived. In it, Jesus teaches us what it means to follow Him as His fully devoted disciples. He teaches us about selflessness, humility, and what it means to seek God’s righteousness. He tells us how to live for Him in a fallen world. He gives us the Beatitudes to live by, and so much more. Join us for this transformative study of Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount.
