Standing Firm
Although brief, 2 Thessalonians addresses some of the most intense themes in all of Scripture. In the first half alone, Paul warns us of hell’s reality and the coming of the man of lawlessness. As a caring and compassionate pastor, Paul then pauses to reassure the Thessalonians—and us—that God loves us and will reward us for standing strong in difficult times. Once again, the truth prevails that the only thing stronger than God’s wrath is His passionate love for sinners like us.
