Be the Church: FCCO in Action is coming on Sunday, October 18. Instead of our regular morning worship services, we’ll go into the community to serve our neighbors in tangible ways—helping local families with yard work and small outdoor projects, caring for and cleaning up local cemeteries, and cleaning our streets. This is a chance for our whole church family to live out our faith, love Ossipee well, and be the Church beyond the walls.

There will be no morning services on October 18. FCCO in Action will take the place of our normal worship. After our service projects, we will regather at FCCO for lunch and a time of worship & sharing.

Serving Opportunities

Local Assistance

Join us in serving local families at their homes, as well as local organizations. Each project will be unique to the specific needs of each family/organization and may include yard work, small outdoor projects, or general cleanup. This is a meaningful opportunity to offer practical help and show the love of Christ in a personal and tangible way.

Grounds Cleanup (Cemeteries)

Join us in caring for the grounds at Ossipee cemeteries by removing litter, raking leaves, and tidying the properties. This is a meaningful way to serve our community by honoring those who have gone before us and creating a peaceful, well-kept space for visiting families.

This project involves light outdoor work and is a great opportunity to serve together. Children are welcome to participate, with supervision. Please wear comfortable clothes, sturdy shoes, and bring gloves or rakes if you have them. Other helpful tools include leaf blowers, wheelbarrows, and garden clippers.

Support Team

Our Support Team plays a vital role in making FCCO in Action possible. While others are serving in the community, this team serves by providing childcare, preparing meals, making cards, offering prayer support, and helping with other behind-the-scenes needs throughout the day.

This is a meaningful opportunity to care for our volunteers and strengthen the impact of the day through hospitality, prayer, and practical support. Every role on this team helps send and sustain those serving in the community.

Childcare

Childcare will be available for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children for families serving on projects that are not able to accommodate young children. While we love seeing families serve together whenever possible, we understand that some projects require additional safety considerations.

Our goal is to support your whole family in participating, and this option allows everyone to be involved in a way that works best.
