Our 2026 theme is Deep and Wide, and we’re inviting you to dive deep into God’s Word with us. Whether you’re opening a Bible for the first time or have been reading Scripture for years, this journey is for you. Together, we’ll explore the richness of God’s truth, grow in understanding, and discover how His Word speaks into every season of life.

We’ll be reading through the Bible using The Bible Recap, a simple, approachable plan that helps you understand what you’re reading and how it fits into the bigger story of Scripture. Each day includes a short reading and a brief recap that highlights God’s character and points us back to the gospel. You don’t need to be a Bible expert—just come ready to read, learn, ask questions, and grow.

The Bible Recap books will be handout out (1 per family) on February 8.

How To Participate:

Before you read God’s Word today, ask for His help by praying these 5 prayers:
1. God, give me wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.
2. Let any knowledge I gain help me love You and others more, and not puff me up.
3. Help me see something new about You that I’ve never seen before.
4. Correct any lies I believe about You or anything I misunderstand.
5. Direct my steps according to Your Word. Amen.

Using your preferred version of the Bible, read the assigned chapters for the day. This plan is designed to take roughly 12 minutes to read each day’s chapters. If you do not have a Bible, a link is provided each day to read the passage online.

The Bible Recap is available in different formats: hardcover book, YouTube videos, and podcasts. Choose your format and read, watch or listen to the recap of the Bible passage you just read. Each recap is roughly 8 minutes long. Links will be provided each day to the videos and podcasts.

We are encouraging the whole church to join us on this journey through scripture. Talk with others about what God is showing you, or things you didn’t understand. Share your thoughts on FCCO social media pages or in your growth groups. Ask someone on Sunday morning what they thought of this week’s reading. We pray that God will transform hearts and lives through the power of His Word.
