Parents and grandparents, join us for our Milestone Workshop on Sunday, September 8 at 9:00 am. Parents are the primary disciple-makers of their children and have the greatest impact on their child’s faith journey. Faith Milestones offer a roadmap to follow as you navigate your child’s spiritual development, in partnership with the church.
Parents of Younger Children
Parents of infants through children in grade six will attend a seminar called Preparing for Adolescence/Sexual Integrity for Life. Preparing for talks around these subjects starts at birth! Parents will become more equipped to embrace every stage of their young child’s life regarding emotions, body image, and sexuality. Hear from parents who have walked through each stage of a child’s life about their experiences as well as some practical advice.
Parents of Older Children
As our kids grow and mature our job is parents is to help them take hold of their own faith, their own relationship with God. During our time together looking at both Milestone 7, Owning Your Faith, and Milestone 8, Preparing to Launch, we will look at the importance of helping our kids think critically about their faith, as well as some practical ways to help our kids move from knowing about God to truly knowing Him. There will also be a time to share with others about the struggles, victories, and questions we have about helping our kids mature in their faith.
