Sermon: “The Disciples’ Prayer” from Dan Mitchum

Jesus begins His Sermon on the Mount by blessing those who recognize they are utterly helpless without God's help. He blesses the poor in spirit, those who mourn, the meek, and those who hunger and thirst for righteousness. Today, we will hear Jesus pronounce more blessings. His final blessing is for those who are persecuted because of Him—and that should include all of us. Living as fully devoted disciples means the world will hate us. How are we to respond when persecution comes?
