Sermon: “Sowing & Reaping” from Dan Mitchum

Dan Mitchum - July 27, 2025

Sowing & Reaping

Sowing and reaping is more than a law of nature. It also applies to the spiritual life. We reap what we sow—whether for good or evil. The old adage is true: ‘Sow a thought, reap an act; sow an act, reap a habit; sow a habit, reap a character; sow a character, reap a destiny.’ This is good, biblical teaching. In Galatians 6, Paul tells us we must choose between two fields. We either sow to the Spirit, or sow to the soil of the sinful nature. Sowing to the flesh always brings destruction and death. But sowing to the Spirit brings life both now and forevermore!
