Carrying Our Cross Like Jesus

This Sunday we begin a new sermon series on discipleship called Walking with Jesus. We’ll look at Mark 8 where Jesus says, “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.” In the classic book, The Cost of Discipleship, Dietrich Bonhoeffer wrote, “When Christ calls a man, he bids him come and die.” Though this statement seems radical, it has always been the essence of what it means to follow Jesus. Join us as we focus on discipleship according to Jesus!

Scripture References: Mark 8:31-38
