Sermon: “The Holy Spirit Makes Us New” from Marc Swenson

The Holy Spirit Makes Us New

DNA is something you’ve probably long forgotten about since high school biology class. But DNA is one of the most important molecules of life. It transfers our genetic material from one life to the next. Your eye color, hair color, mannerisms, and desires are all tied to your DNA. Not only does it make us who we are, without it we would not be. In the same way that DNA gives life to our physical bodies, the Holy Spirit makes us alive spiritually. Join us Sunday as we learn about the biblical term Regeneration and the blessings of the Holy Spirit who makes us fully alive! We can’t wait to worship with you.

Scripture References: John 3:1-17

From Series: "The Holy Spirit"

Many Christians throughout the ages have struggled to understand the person and work of the Holy Spirit. Our attention often focuses on God the Father and Christ the Son. But as the third person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit is also deserving of our praise, worship, and obedience. Our prayer for this new sermon series is that we won’t just gain a biblical understanding of the Spirit—we also want to experience Him in a fresh way. Throughout this eleven-week series, we’ll explore the person and power of the Spirit, His role as our sanctifier and teacher, the fruit and gifts of the Spirit, what it means to grieve and quench the Spirit, how to keep in step with Him, and more. Please join us for this life-changing series.
