Sermon: “What’s Your Next Step” from Dan Mitchum

Dan Mitchum - February 23, 2025

What's Your Next Step

Our theme for 2025 is “What’s Your Next Step?” No matter where we’re at, Jesus constantly invites us to draw closer to Him. Galatians 5:25 calls us to “keep in step with the Spirit.” The Christian life is all about walking with God in the power of the Spirit. So, what’s your next step? Becoming settled and comfortable in our relationship with Christ and His church is easy. But God wants us to grow in our faith. He wants us to keep moving forward. Today, we’ll meet a young man who personally encountered Jesus. He wanted to know what step He needed to take to be right with God. Not liking Jesus’ answer, he walked away. While following Jesus will be costly, it’s the best step we’ll ever take.

Are you experiencing the joy of using your God-given gifts in the service of God and others? Jesus will challenge us to make our lives count for Him and His Kingdom. On this Vision Sunday, the Elders will share a number of kingdom priorities that will require commitment and involvement from each of us. Join us as we examine our own lives and consider how to use the gifts God’s entrusted to us for His glory!
