Praise the Lord

Today is Thanksgiving Sunday. It also marks the end of our sermon series on the Holy Spirit. It’s fitting that we conclude by looking at Psalm 147. This psalm gives us nine reasons to praise the Lord—all of which bring us back to the things we learned these past several weeks. In addition to celebrating Communion, we’ll have time for congregational sharing. Please come prepared to give thanks for what the Holy Spirit has taught you about Himself. Also, give thanks for how you experienced the Spirit over the course of this series.

Scripture References: Psalms 147:1-20

From Series: "The Holy Spirit"

Many Christians throughout the ages have struggled to understand the person and work of the Holy Spirit. Our attention often focuses on God the Father and Christ the Son. But as the third person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit is also deserving of our praise, worship, and obedience. Our prayer for this new sermon series is that we won’t just gain a biblical understanding of the Spirit—we also want to experience Him in a fresh way. Throughout this eleven-week series, we’ll explore the person and power of the Spirit, His role as our sanctifier and teacher, the fruit and gifts of the Spirit, what it means to grieve and quench the Spirit, how to keep in step with Him, and more. Please join us for this life-changing series.
